The N P K in Plant Nutrition:

It is important that plants maintain a balance of nutrients in the ground around the root area of the plant. This helps the plant produce more flowers and fruit, promotes new growth and helps the immune system to fight disease.

  • N = Nitrogen; This help promotes leaf and Stem growth, this is key in Evergreen, Broadleaf Shrubs, Grasses and indoor foliage plants.
  • P = Phosphorous; This helps promote flowers and fruit production.
  • K = Potassium; This helps the plants immune system.

Fertilizer labels display important information (Example 26-6-8) The three numbers indicate the strength by percent of each nutrient. In this case 26% Nitrogen, 6% Phosphorous and 8% Potassium

Some notes about how we grade. If a plant is graded at 4-5′ you will receive a plant that is 4′ 6″ to 5′ 6″ our 5-6′ are 5′ 6″ to 6′ 6″ and on. There is great value.
